It was a good choice to launch with MT 2K22 PS4 NBA 2K, it became immediately a threat to EA Sports' NBA Live which was the highest point on the game in the early days. 2K defeated Live in so many instances through the years that EA had to cancel games and restart their series. It's interesting to look back at the times what time NBA 2K was its best. There's over 20 years of games. Kevin Pantoja updated this article on June 29 2021. It's worth taking an examination of the story of NBA 2K. Every game has received an at-least positive review from critics, and some of them are among the top basketball games ever created. It's a great approach to know which is the top NBA 2K game.

In this moment, it was obvious that the NBA 2K franchise was lightyears ahead of NBA Live. The 2009 EA Sports game was solid but NBA 2K9 only added to an already impressive legacy. NBA Champion Kevin Garnett was on the cover of this installment. The main reason for the favorable reception was the way in which realistic the experience was. The gameplay was up to par but things like halftime shows and commentary were amazing, and the HD visuals were easily one of the top to date. It didn't feature many new modes.

The graphics featured in NBA 2K9 were a welcome improvement because one of the issues that gamers faced with NBA 2K7 was that the animations and player models were off the marks. This was a problem but the game did well in all other areas. The gameplay was a success, but it also had highly-received features such as Street mode and Association mode. A unique feature of the PlayStation 3 was the ability to shoot free throws using the same motion as a real shot. This cover athlete was Shaquille Oleal.

NBA 2K7 actually marked the second straight year that Shaq was featured on the cover, as it first occurred in NBA 2K6. Shaq joined Allen Iverson as the only two players to be featured on multiple solo covers at the time. The reviews were extremely positive for aspects like the music gameplay, presentation, and sound. On the other hand there were some issues with the controls , and it was a bit of like the previous one in Buy 2K MT Xbox that not much was added to improve or enhance it. It might not seem like an issue, but the layout of the menus was widely criticized, with some calling them ugly.
